My ever patient Mother put me right but something was still wrong. I unpicked it again - twice - but forever ended up 1 stitch short. There's no fun in unpicking over and over so I've given up. The yarn is gorgeously soft and a great colour so I shall find another good use for it. I WILL knit socks one day. I might even brave the DPN's as they seem to be the preferred needles for socks. Not today though!
